OOH Media appoints Shamik Talukder and Raju Sarin to top posts

OOH Media has appointed Shamik Talukder as Business Director. He will be joining the management committee of the company and will be reporting to Ishan Raina, CEO, OOH Media. The company has also appointed Raju Sarin as Director, he will be based in Delhi.

Talukder brings with him over 13 years of media experience and has worked in well-known media companies like Star TV, Radio Mirchi, Times TV & FM, Radio Mid-Day, Indya.com, Sony Entertainment Television, Times OOH, Essel Group and VIA OOH. Besides working as Regional Sales Head with Radio Mirchi and Sony Entertainment Television and National Business Head with Times OOH, Talukder had also launched and managed VIA OOH as a co-promoter.

Prior to joining OOH Media, Talukder has worked as Vice President – Internet, with the Essel Group. In OOH Media, he will oversee the drive and development of key categories nationally.

On his new appointment, Talukder said, “I am delighted to be part of the OOH Media team. The company and the industry are poised for significant growth and need to be taken to the next level. Meanwhile, Raju Sarin, who has joined as Director, brings with him over 20 years of media marketing and management experience. He has worked for print media – both newspapers and magazines, television, the Internet, and has handled sales, marketing, brand communication, direct marketing, events, BTL activation and new business development.

Prior to joining OOH Media, Sarin was with The Sakal Media Group as Chief Operating Officer for their new projects. He has also worked with The Times of India Group in the response department and international marketing. He was the Publisher for Today newspaper, now called Mail Today, and was also Head of the Business division, which had magazines like Business Today, Harvard Business Review, Time, Golf Digest and Men’s Health. He was also the associate publisher of these magazines.

Raina had also worked with MTV as Regional Director. His longest stint was as President and CEO with Media Trans Asia India Ltd, publishers of Swagat, Discover India, A+D, Indian Design And Interiors, Golf Style, T+L, Maxim, etc.
